You're the one people count on.

At work, you're capable and reliable. At home, you remember everything, smooth things over, and make sure everyone's okay.

But underneath:

  1. Your mind never really shuts off
  2. You feel guilty resting, and anxious when you're not producing
  3. You say yes when you mean no, then resent it quietly
  4. Praise doesn't land, but criticism stays with you for days
  5. You've built a life that looks good on paper and still feels exhausting

What's underneath

None of this came from nowhere. Maybe you were the oldest, the youngest, or the only one. Maybe a parent was overwhelmed, unpredictable, or emotionally unavailable. Somewhere along the way, you learned that being capable, easy, or helpful was how you stayed safe and loved.

That strategy worked. It's probably part of why you're successful. But the habits that protected you as a kid are now running your adult life, and they're costing you more than they're giving back.

High-functioning doesn't mean unaffected

A lot of my clients don't think of themselves as having "trauma." Nothing terrible happened, or other people had it worse. But you don't need a dramatic story to carry patterns that still shape how you work, love, and see yourself.

Who I work with

Professionals, business owners, healthcare workers, and caretakers. People who run a team, a business, a household, or all three, and who are ready to stop running on autopilot.

How we'll work together

We'll start by understanding how you became who you are. Then we'll get practical about what you want to change.

  • EMDR to help process the experiences that keep old patterns stuck
  • ACT to make choices guided by your values instead of guilt or fear
  • CBT and DBT skills for overthinking, anxiety, and boundaries in real time

I'm warm, but I'm also direct. I'll point out the patterns I notice, and I'll cheer you on as you change them.

If you have ADHD

Many high achievers have ADHD and have spent years compensating, masking, and overworking to keep up. I bring an ADHD-informed lens to our work, and I know this experience personally. I treat ADHD but don't diagnose it.

What changes

Clients often tell me they want to:

  • Say no without a spiral of guilt
  • Rest without earning it first
  • Stop replaying every conversation
  • Feel proud of their life instead of just relieved they kept it together
  • Stop passing down what they were handed

Frequently asked questions

I'm functioning fine. Do I really need therapy?

Functioning and feeling okay are two different things. If you're tired of holding it together, that's reason enough.

I've tried therapy before. How is this different?

We'll go beyond coping skills to understand where your patterns started, so change actually lasts.

Do you take insurance?

I'm a private-pay practice. If you'd like to use out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill at my full rate. You can learn more on my Fees & Insurance page.

You've spent years taking care of everyone else.

This is space that's just for you.
