A Fort Worth Therapist for People Who Are Tired of Handling It Alone

Fort Worth has changed a lot in a short amount of time. New jobs, new neighborhoods, and new neighbors arrive every day, and many of us are building careers and families at that same pace. Underneath the friendly, down-to-earth Cowtown culture, there's also a quiet expectation to keep it together, keep showing up, and not make a fuss.

Whether you live near TCU, in Fairmount or Arlington Heights, or drive in from Benbrook, Aledo, Burleson, Keller, Southlake, or Weatherford, you may recognize yourself as the one who holds everything together. Therapy is a place to set that down for a while. Together, we'll look at where your patterns came from, why they made sense at the time, and what you want to do differently now.

You don't have to keep carrying all of it by yourself.

Is Life in Fort Worth Asking More of You Than You Have Left?

Fort Worth is a great place to build a life, but the growth and expectations here can wear on even the most capable people. Many of my clients are dealing with:

  • High-pressure careers in healthcare, finance, aerospace, and corporate offices that reward you for never slowing down
  • Relocation and constant change, like moving here for work, leaving family and friends behind, and starting over without a support system
  • Being the responsible one in your family, at work, and in your friendships, while no one checks on you
  • Parenting while trying not to repeat what you grew up with, and feeling guilty when old reactions slip out anyway
  • Texas self-reliance and faith or family expectations that make asking for help feel like weakness or failure

From the outside, it usually looks like you're doing fine. On the inside, it can sound more like I should be able to handle this, other people have it worse, or I keep ending up in the same place. Burnout, overthinking, people-pleasing, and anxiety aren't signs that you're failing. They're signs that the patterns that once protected you are costing you more than they give back.

It's possible to be surrounded by a million people and still feel completely alone in what you're carrying.

Therapy That Fits a Full Life

Most of the people I work with aren't short on motivation. They're short on time and energy. You might be working hybrid or commuting across the Metroplex, balancing two careers in one household, raising young kids, or trying to build a life in a city where you're still getting to know people. Therapy is built around that reality, not in spite of it.

Specialized Care Without the Long Search

Finding the right therapist in Tarrant County can take a long time, especially if you're looking for someone with specialized training rather than general support. When you're already stretched thin, a long search can be the reason you never start.

I offer in-person therapy at my Near Southside office, close to the Medical District, with easy parking and access. I also offer virtual therapy for adults anywhere in Texas and Florida. Virtual sessions let you skip DFW traffic, meet from home or a private office over lunch, and get support with more privacy if you're not ready for anyone else to know you're in therapy.

A Pattern-Focused Approach to Therapy

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps adults understand and change the patterns, rooted in family, relationships, and early experience, that they don't want to keep repeating. My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. Together, we can work to:

Understand where your patterns came from, including family roles, early experiences, and the expectations you absorbed growing up
Process the memories and experiences that keep you stuck using EMDR, alongside CBT, ACT, and DBT skills for the anxiety, overthinking, and stress you're dealing with right now
Build boundaries, self-trust, and new ways of responding so you can stop people-pleasing and start making choices for yourself
Bring an ADHD-informed lens to your work, shaped by my own lived experience, so your brain is understood rather than judged

This approach helps you make sense of how you became who you are, and gives you real room to choose something different.

Is This Kind of Therapy Right for You?

I work with adults in Fort Worth and across Tarrant County who are ready to look at the patterns underneath what they're feeling. This is a good fit for:

The responsible one

High-functioning adults, including professionals, healthcare workers, business owners, and caretakers who are burned out from holding everything together

Parents breaking the cycle

Moms and dads who want to raise their kids differently than they were raised and are tired of reacting in ways they promised themselves they wouldn't

ADHD, anxiety, and people-pleasing

Adults who look successful on paper but feel exhausted, behind, or like a fraud

Questions

Fort Worth Therapy FAQs

Do you offer in-person therapy in Fort Worth?

Yes. My office is at 901 W Rosedale Street, Suite 250, Fort Worth, TX 76104, in the Near Southside near the Medical District. I also offer virtual sessions for clients anywhere in Texas and Florida.

Do you take insurance?

I'm not accepting new insurance clients. I can give you a superbill if you'd like to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance, and many clients use HSA or FSA funds for sessions. You'll find full details on my Fees & Insurance page, and you can check your out-of-network benefits there too.

Do you offer a military or veteran discount?

Yes. I offer a 10% discount on private pay sessions for active duty service members and veterans. Clients receiving the military discount aren't eligible for a superbill for insurance reimbursement. Ask about eligibility during your free connection call.

Do you diagnose ADHD?

No. I treat ADHD, but I don't provide ADHD testing or diagnosis. If you're looking for an evaluation, I'm happy to point you in the right direction.

I've never been to therapy, and I'm not sure my problems are "bad enough." Is that okay?

Absolutely. Many of my clients start therapy because they're tired of pushing through on their own, not because something has fallen apart. You don't have to be in crisis to deserve support.

How soon can I get started?

The best first step is a free 15-minute connection call. We can talk about what you're looking for and whether we're a good fit, and I'll share my current availability.
