Therapy for Texas Professionals and Parents Who Hold Everything Together
Texas keeps growing, and a lot of the people moving here are doing it for a career, a lower cost of living, or a fresh start for their family. Many are building that life far from the people who used to help. Others grew up here and are carrying expectations about hard work and handling things on your own that go back generations.
Whether you're in Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, or a small town in between, you may be the one everyone counts on. Therapy is a place to stop managing for an hour. Together, we'll look at where your patterns came from and what you want to do differently now.
Being strong for everyone else doesn't mean you can't need support too.

Texas is a great place to build a life, but the pace and the expectations can wear on even the most capable people. Many of the adults I work with across the state are dealing with:
- High-pressure careers in tech, energy, healthcare, finance, and corporate offices that reward you for never slowing down
- Relocation without a support system, after moving for work and leaving friends and extended family behind
- Long commutes and fast-growing cities that eat the time you used to have for yourself and your relationships
- Parenting without repeating what you grew up with, and feeling guilty when old reactions slip out anyway
- Self-reliance and faith or family expectations that make asking for help feel like weakness
Maybe you've thought I should be able to handle this, other people have it worse, or I'll deal with it when things slow down. Those thoughts aren't a sign that something is wrong with you. They're a sign that the patterns that once protected you are costing more than they give back.
Everything's bigger in Texas, including how much you're expected to handle on your own.
Therapy That Fits a Texas Schedule
Most busy adults aren't looking for one more commitment. Between I-35, I-10, 635, and everything in between, a drive across town can eat up an afternoon. Online therapy removes the drive entirely, so the hour you set aside actually goes to you.
Specialized Care, Wherever You Are in the State
Finding a therapist with the right training can take a long time, especially outside the biggest cities. Online therapy widens your options. I see clients across Texas by secure video, with the same structured, pattern-focused approach I use in my Fort Worth office.
If you're in the DFW area and would rather meet face to face, in-person sessions are available at my Near Southside office. You can also mix the two depending on your week. You'll need to be physically located in Texas or Florida during each online session.
A Pattern-Focused Approach to Therapy
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps adults understand and change the patterns, rooted in family, relationships, and early experience, that they don't want to keep repeating. My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. Together, we can work to:
This approach helps you make sense of how you became who you are, and gives you real room to choose something different.
Is This Kind of Therapy Right for You?
I work with adults across Texas who are ready to look at the patterns underneath what they're feeling. This is a good fit for:
The responsible one
High-functioning professionals and caretakers who are burned out from holding everything together
Parents breaking the cycle
Moms and dads who want to raise their kids differently than they were raised, even when life is moving fast
ADHD, anxiety, and people-pleasing
Adults who look successful on paper but feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or always behind
Questions
Texas Online Therapy FAQs
Do you have an office near me?
My office is at 901 W Rosedale Street, Suite 250, Fort Worth, TX 76104, in the Near Southside. If you're in the DFW area, you can meet in person. Everywhere else in Texas, sessions are online by secure video.
Do I need to be in Texas during sessions?
Yes. You need to be physically located in Texas or Florida at the time of each session. Licensing rules are based on where you are during the session, not where you live, so let me know ahead of time if you'll be traveling.
What time zone are sessions in?
Sessions are available Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time. If you're in El Paso or elsewhere on Mountain time, I'll always confirm your appointment in your own time zone.
Can EMDR be done online?
Yes. I offer EMDR by secure video, adapted for online sessions, as well as in person in Fort Worth. You can learn more about EMDR therapy here.
Do you take insurance?
I'm not accepting new insurance clients. I can give you a superbill if you'd like to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance, and many clients use HSA or FSA funds for sessions. You'll find full details on my Fees & Insurance page, and you can check your out-of-network benefits there too.
Do you offer a military or veteran discount?
Yes. I offer a 10% discount on private pay sessions for active duty service members and veterans. Clients receiving the military discount aren't eligible for a superbill for insurance reimbursement. Ask about eligibility during your free connection call.
How soon can I get started?
The best first step is a free 15-minute connection call. We can talk about what you're looking for and whether we're a good fit, and I'll share my current availability.
